At least, that’s how I’m thinking about it. It seems that a young graphic designer named Hani Alireza is creating a Saudi answer to Threadless, the popularly artsy, online make-it-yourself t-shirt company, called Wasta Design (“wasta” meaning something like “means” or “influence”). At least, they are similar in terms of style – the designs are beautiful but have raised hell in Saudi circles. Take a look at the ruckus shown on BBC. Also, here is a link to their home page.
